Lovely weekend

Early Friday morning we set off to Cornwall for a weekend of Motorcross, but this time went extra early so that we could spend the day at Looe, before settling down at the track.

We drove the motorhome straight to Looe, previously when we have raced at Landrake we have parked up at the track then caught a bus.

If you haven't been to Looe before, it's a lovely little fishing harbour and the beach is lovely, so clean and tidy with lovely sand.  When we arrived the sun was shining, it was really warm and the beach was very busy.  We walked through the tourist shops to the sea front where we paddled.

Now although Jay had managed to get a day off from the Office he was still working, those of you who were in Vienna may relate to this!!

It was a really busy place, lots of people catching crabs, eating Fish and Chips followed by Ice Creams!!

We walked around for a couple of hours, then headed back to the track to get set up for racing.  Such a lovely day out.

This picture was taken by someone else, Jack was cruising around the track on his first practice lap, the pictures I took weren't that good, definitely need a new zoom lens for my camera!

Bright Blossoms Class

On Saturday I held my "Bright Blossoms" Class at Whitminster and I was joined by 12 lovely ladies and here are the projects they created.  All the projects co-ordinated and our colour combo was Sahara Sand, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade.

We made a gift box that fits 4 Ferrerro Rocher perfectly, a squashed version of one we made recently at my Big Shot Class!  We used the Blossom Punch and stamped flowers from the Bright Blossoms stamp set to decorate the petals.  We also stamped the dotty flower head in Whisper White onto the base of the box but it's difficult to see here!
To go with the box we made a cute note card with matching envelope that we created using the Simply Scored tool with the Diagonal Plate, it is so quick and easy with this score board.

Next we made two cards

Followed by a gift bag that would be suitable to hold a small gift or a set of the mini notecards that we made earlier.

We used the Framelits labels and Edgelits for this one which I find I am using all the time.  The handles were made with the Stitched Poly ribbob in Pear Pizzazz

Here is a closer view of the front panel......

Everyone had goodies on arrival, the Bright Blossoms Stamp set, a pack of Mini Silver Brads and a pack of Bakers Twine in White.

I decorated their goody bags and die cut their Initials with the Timeless Type Sizzlits Alphabet and used Crystal Effects to give them a nice shiny finish.

Here is everyone hard at play, we had the side doors open letting in the beautiful weather and it was almost like crafting outside!

Thank you all for coming along, you created a lot of projects in one morning and hope that you weren't feeling too pooped for the rest of the day!!

Make a Difference

This class is called "Make a Card, Make a Difference" because profits from the class are given to my lovely friend Kimberly for her Charity "Devotion Africa" which supports vulnerable children in Kenya.  This class has been running for a while and we now have two classes that are "devoted" to the kids.  It's nice to think that although we are crafting for ourselves, we are at the same time helping children to get an education which will make a huge difference to their lives.

This month's Wednesday Class created a matching card and box using one of my favourite stamp sets "Everything Eleanor".  This box was based on the design from my Big Shot Class held last week and I love how one idea can evolve straight into another!

Don't you love the Vintage Tag, rust is included by the way!  Again more use of the Simply Scored Tool which I have so many uses for, not just to create the box itself but the lovely rosette that adornes the front.

The ribbon at the top is from the promotion this month, gorgeous organza in Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral, spend £45 and get a ribbon and brad pack worth £15.95 for free, the flower brad in the centre of the  butterfly is from that pack.  The ribbon looks clear but don't fall off your chair, the sun was actually shining when I took the picture so it's really Lucky Limeade!!

The rosette is made using the Everyday Enchantment papers which are available during July only, while stocks last!

Next we made a card to go with the bag, using the same colours, how can you not love this stamp set, it's just so feminine and I have used it so much, makes beautiful wedding cards too!

Here are both projects together

along with the table gift I made for everyone

If you would like to come along to the next class at Quedgeley, we will be meeting on Thursday 2nd August at 10am, all you need to bring is some glue and a pair of scissors!

Vienna Layout

It is not unusual for me to take many pictures with my camera whilst away, and Vienna was no exception.

This was a layout we did at my recent Scrapbooking Class, one of three that was completed during the evening.

The papers are from "Beau Chateaux" which I love, they have a very french vintage feel with lovely soft colours.  I haven't got around to doing my journalling on this one yet and not even a date in sight, but it will get done at some point.

We used "Everything Eleanor" stamps for the background adding pearls to accent it and the flowers which were hand cut.

There was lots of punching using the Boho Blossom and Blossom builder punches for the small flowers and leaves.  We also used the big shot to die cut the Framelits Labels and Scallop Circle Die.

The heart is die cut using the Scallop Hearts of Hearts Embosslit, this little beauty cuts and embosses at the same time.

Team Training with Amanda

On Saturday I travelled to Amanda's Quarterly Team Training in Southampton for a whole day of getting together with other Demonstrators.  Whilst we are there we learn, create, we are inspired and we share what we love.  We have Demonstrators who showcase products and techniques, business talk, lots of stamping and creating, raffle prizes, cakes and this time we had a special guest, the lovely Michelle Last who talked to us about being an Upline.

At our training events we always make Swaps and here are mine, I used both the same designs but changed the stamps and colour scheme.

The one on the left uses Bright Blossoms and the one on the right is a sneak peak of a stamp set that will be available next month, the images are so delicate in this set.

Would you like to find out more about being a Demonstrator and the benefits it has to offer?  Would you like to receive a permanent discount on your Stampin' Up! products or even earn a little extra money to put towards a family holiday?

There has never been a better time to join the Stampin' Up! family, with a new Starter Kit that is totally customisable containing £130 of products along with a business pack to get you started.

Join during July and you will have until the end of December 2012 to reach your first quarterly minimum.

You will be able to maximise your selling potentials with the release of the new Seasonal Catalogue, Retired List and then a brand new Annual Catalogue in October.

Order your kit for just £99 and it will be delivered free to your door within 10 days.  As your upline I will be here to support you during your first steps and offer you the advice you may need.

Big Shot Class

At July's Big Shot Class I decided to use the Beautiful Butterflies die to accent our projects.  Our colour combo is Sahara Sand, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Whisper White.

We used the gorgeous Everyday Enchantment papers which are available for sale through July only, while stocks last and the co-ordinating Organza Ribbon is part of the this month's FREE Ribbon and Brad Pack which can be yours with any £45 order.

We used the "Style Beautiful" stamp set to create subtle backgrounds on our projects but the main focal points were the embossed butterflies.

The rosette was made using the Simply Scored Tool, very simple to put together but really effective, don't you think?

The tag and the leaf are both Sizzlit dies for the Big Shot.

The poor big shot's didn't know what had hit them, so many things to cut and emboss, but hey, that's what it's all about, getting the most out of it!

We used the new Framelits Labels dies for this card.

And on this card we used the new Adorning Accents Edgelits and co-ordinating Embossing Folder.

Would you like to create these projects in the comfort of you own home?

During July you can purchase the kits to make all three projects shown above for just £10 plus postage at cost.  You will be provided with pre-cut and scored kits along with all the elements required to complete your projects, just use your own stamps for your greetings.

Email me at stampinkerry@aol.com for more details.

Scrapbooking The Strip.....

..... Las Vegas Strip that is!!!

I took so many pictures during our visit to Las Vegas two years ago, it's hard to choose which to put on my layouts!  I remember lots of things about this trip, one being that we walked miles and miles, up and down the Strip, there was so much to see, an amazing place that I am glad I had the opportunity to visit.

This layout uses the Twitterpated Designer Papers, they are so pretty yet have a couple of sheets that could be used for Masculine projects.

We used the new Framelits Labels dies which have so many uses and the Bordering on Romance stamp set on some of the layers.

I couldn't resist using the pleated ribbon, this time in Baja Breeze, it is just so pretty and adds a real texture to any project.  I added some flowers to the centre from the Boho Blossom Punch and Bitty Fower Punch then finished with a Silver Brad.  Piercing holes gives a nice touch to a project, so simple and cost effective too!

Scrapbooking

One of the layouts from May's Scrapbooking Class with a bright and fresh colour combo of Island Indigo, Pool Party, Regal Rose and Pear Pizzazz.

On our holiday to Cape Verde last Christmas we came across this gorgeous beach, it was very private with just a few holiday apartments surrounding it, adorned with beautiful flowers on the walls, I fell in love with it!

We used the Simply Scored tool to create a border around the edge of the base layer, so simple but really effective.

The Designer Papers are from the Twitterpated and Sheet Shop packs, loving both of these, especially that Island Indigo floral print.  We stamped on the Pool Party layer with a stamp from the Bright Blossoms set.

Our bunting was created using the Scallop Circle and 1 1/4" punch with Regal Rose cardstock and patterned paper from the Bright Stack.  We tied Pool Party Bakers Twine in a bow at each end to look like the bunting was hanging from it.

The Pool Party heart was cut using an Embosslit die with the Big Shot machine, finished with an Itty Bitty Flower adorning a Rhinestone.  Below it was created a border using the new Edgelits scallop die.  A piece of Pleated Pear Pizzazz ribbon added some texture.

Big Shot Class

Tomorrow see's July's Big Shot Class and I haven't even got around to showing you what we made last month, so here it is.

A gorgeous Book Mark Card with matching Gift Box in the most mouthwatering colours of Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White.

I cased the Bookmark Card, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it, saved a picture in my folder and now can't give the credit to where it came from.  I loved how simple this was to create, something I had made a long time ago when I first became a demonstrator, but with the release of the new Simply Scored tool it is just a breeze to put together.

These were perfect for my Big Shot Class, lots of embossing required!

We used the Blossom Punch for the flower, I am getting so much use from this punch, I love it!!

The DSP is from the Sweet Shop pack and has some really cute designs, love the hearts paper here which also co-ordinate with the new Adorning Accents Embossing Folders.  This paper has all the new In Colours which I am so drawn to, finding it hard to steer away from them.

The box embelishments evolved from the Book Mark, I like my projects to co-ordinate so I decorated it with the same Blossom Punch and Butterflies.

The "Just for You" sentiment is from the "Tea Shoppe" stamp set which I am using all the time as I love the style of the font.

We stamped one of the flower centres from the "Mixed Bunch" stamp set in Kraft White ink onto the Wisteria Wonder box base.

To order any of the products used in my Big Shot Class, just give me a call or email me at stampinkerry@aol.com for information and advice.  Book a party to receive a Free Idea Book and Catalogue and the opportunity to earn yourself lots of lovely free goodies!
